Speaking IELTS part 2 & 3

I would like to tell you about the story of learning a third language in my life after English,

which is Chinese. 

As I know, this language is spoken in many places in the world. Actually, Chinese is spoken not only in China but also in many other countries such as the US or the UK by oversea Chinese. In fact, Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world ( it is estimated that Chinese is spoken by more than 1 billion people all over the world). Therefore, I thought that learning Chinese could help brighten my career paths. You know, today, trade ties between Vietnam and China have become stronger, so employers in Vietnam tend to prioritize applicants who have a good command of Chinese. Furthermore, I chose to learn Chinese mainly due to the similarity between Chinese and Vietnamese, specially in pronunciation, so maybe learning this learning seems to be a piece of cake.  

I started learning Chinese by attending an elementary course on Chinese since I was a second year student at uni. Every day after class, I spent at least 2 hours practicing listening and speaking in Chinese. Writing in Chinese is quite tough because its alphabet is 100% different from Vietnamese but fortunately with a memory live a sieve, I could still remember all. However, after graduating, I have had a nine-to-five job, I needed to look for a center which offers night classes for its learners.

Now after nearly 4 years learning, I have quite a good command of this language and can

3.   What’s the difference between children learning what they like and learning what they

have to learn?

These two things are as different as chalk and cheese, I think. Learning what you have interest in will definitely give you more fun and the effectiveness will be higher because you are willing to learn. For example, a person who is fancy about singing will consider singing classes as time to relax rather than to learn and make progress quickly. In contrast, learning without passion is a pressure or even a nightmare.
