Sue: Ok, we also had a holiday um… together with Joanna for her, as a surprise, for her 18th birthday.
Jackie: Oh
Sue: We took her to New York.
Jackie: Wow, for her 18th.
Sue: Yep
Jackie: Did Jack come along as well?
Sue: No, cos he was at university.
Jackie: Right
Sue: But he did, actually, have the choice when we went and he said no but the day before he rang up and said he wanted to come, but it was too late then.
Jackie: Too late [laughs] So, as it just Jo or some of her friends as well?
Sue: Jo… we went… there was erm… Kevin, me, Jo and there was her friend Ellen and Ellen’s sister, Dani, and their mum, Pat. And it was for their 18th, Joanna and Ellen’s 18th, so we did all the sights of New York all together. There was 6 of us um… and we were walked off our feet; [Jackie laughs] Kevin did a big itinerary.
Jackie: Great, and… and Jo as an 18 year old did she want to go out in the evening, partying or anything?
Sue: No, no, no we went out for meals. We did the sights… the only thing she wanted to do was go shopping so we let her and Ellen go shopping.
Jackie: Didn’t you want to go shopping as well?
Sue: No [laughs] no.
Jackie: Well, lucky Jo.
