I would like to talk about my first job interview a week ago when I wore a formal outfit.
Although I understand that the substances of a winning interview can be my affability, subject knowledge, attire sometimes can be the key which may dictate the final outcome. A suitable outfit is of great importance because I think first impressions are, by definition, instant and it takes seconds for a complete stranger to formulate a positive or negative opinion of me based on my appeareance. For this reason, I chose myself a suit for my very first job interview to become a sales manager.
Suits never go out of fashion and has a lot going for it. In addition, I had two further options: a pair of trousers or skirt to go with this, so I did pick a black skirt whose hemline wasn't above the knee. I believe this outfit can act as a code to show off my fashion etiquette. More importantly, I feel an intense sense of confidence and therefore ward off any doubt about my incompetence or chance of failing the interview.
Luckily, the interview
lived up to my expectations and my boss seemed to be highly content with my preparation for the meeting in terms of both knowledge, manner and fashion style. I hope I will be accepted to work in my dream company and I can wear formal and professional clothes every day here.
