Speaking IELTS part 2 & 3

What do I do in spare time? Well there’s lots of different things I could tell you about – I’m a pretty active person and I like to keep myself busy, so even when I’m not working I’m always doing something.

I suppose my favourite activity when I am alone in my free time is simply riding my bicycle. I moved to live close to a large lake in the center of Hanoi capital about a year now and it’s a city famous for being bike friendly – perhaps because it’s so flat. So I decided to buy myself a bike. At first it was just to go to work but I enjoyed it so much that I also started cycling for fun.

I would just ride around the city by myself – going through some of the parks and down by the riverside. Then I discovered that there was a really active Cycling Club. It’s really just a group of people who like to get out and about on the weekend, but I don't think that I want to join with them because cycling alone is much interesting. I don’t tend to go very far – normally only around 20-25 miles and don’t race. The idea is just to enjoy the day and I normally end up in one of the local villages and have a meal or picnic before heading back into the city.

Tôi thường làm gì trong thời gian rảnh ư? Có rất nhiều điều tôi có thể nói với bạn vì tôi là người khác năng động nên lúc nào cũng muốn bản thân mình bận rộn. Khi tôi không phải làm việc, tôi cũng phải làm cái gì đó. 

Tôi nghĩ hoạt động ưu thích của tôi trong thời gian rảnh là đi xe đạp. Tôi đã chuyển đến sống gần một cái hồ lớn ở trung tâm thành phố Hà Nội khoảng một năm trước và nó là một thành phố rất nổi tiếng với những người đi xe đạp, có thể bởi vì thành phố này rất bằng phẳng. Chính vì thế, tôi quyết định mua một cái xe đạp. Lúc đầu tôi chỉ định dùng nó để đi đến nơi làm việc thôi nhưng sau đó tôi đã thích thú với việc đi xe đạp quá nên đã dùng nó để giải trí trong thời gian rảnh nữa. 

Tôi thích đi xe đạp quanh thành phố một mình, đi qua một số công viên hoặc xuống một số khu cạnh bờ sông. Sau đó tôi phát hiện có một câu lạc bộ đi xe dạp hoạt động khá đều đặn với một nhóm người thường cùng nhau đi đâu đó vào cuối tuần nhưng tôi không nghĩ tôi muốn tham gia câu lạc bộ đó vì đi xe đạp một mình khá thú vị. Tôi thường không đi quá xa, chỉ khoảng 20-25 dặm thôi để thưởng thức ngày nghỉ và thường dừng lại ở một số ngôi làng, ăn trưa rồi quay lại thành phố.
